Founder
Before starting T&Co 20 years ago with beloved colleagues from prior ventures, Charles helped manage successful startups from communications firms to restaurants. A writer, strategist, wine lover and avid designer himself, Charles worked for years in Director level positions at Hearst and Dow Jones for titles such as SmartMoney and Town & Country. He helped develop the marketing narrative for The New Yorker magazine and his namesake invented the Manhattan cocktail.
Creative Director Digital and Print
Charles and Becky have been working together since they first met at Town & Country Magazine over 20 years ago. Yazdan got her start in Marketing and Graphic Design with Hearst Magazines before learning to code in the early days of internet madness. One of her strengths is being able to design websites in addition to coding them, which makes the process of project inception to completion much more efficient. She is proficient in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Shopify, Squarespace and Wordpress. When she is not writing code she is in her studio making giant abstract oil paintings.
Print Director
Megan graduated from Hamilton College (where she met Charlie) with a degree in Fine Art and has been working in design and advertising on both East and West coasts for over 25 years. She specializes in everything from branding and advertising to annual reports and full-length books. She is an exceptionally skilled and efficient designer, A life long plant eater and a deceptively CrossFit champion, the dulcet toned Megan is known in a glowing, growing circle as “the Great White Etta James.”
Designer
Born to be a designer and at ease evolving through decades of changing production and print technology. Lisa is a former design instructor professor at Parsons and Columbia University. Lisa has held director level positions at some of the top agencies in the world and run her own succesful creative agency. An exhibited photographer, Lisa brings a fresh eye and attention to crisp detail and color use to everything she ushers forth.
Illustration Director
Tania Lee has a background in art history and the decorative arts, and a passion for letterforms, heraldry, and vintage cartoons. Her work with Charles Truax dates back several decades to an invitation he commissioned for Town & Country Magazine, and now encompasses everything from endpapers to lampshades, and icons to murals. With bottles of ink and an array of watercolor and oil paints, she brings a touch of the hand-crafted to the sleek aesthetic of Truax & Company.
Web Developer
Phil handles all backend technologies and provides server-side support and web hosting. Over the last 20 years he has hosted and provided support for too many client websites to count! When he is not on the job, Phil spends his time taking care of his chickens, goats and any other animal that needs rescuing.
